Terry Gregg had a love for basketball and received letters for the sport his junior and senior years at R.A. Long, but also participated in track and baseball.  Terry received the Inspirational Player Award in Basketball his senior year, because of his continuing hard work to improve his game.  After high school he attended Lower Columbia College on a basketball scholarship, unsure of what his future held after LCC, Terry was offered a scholarship from Central Washington University to play basketball.  Terry accepted the offer from CWU and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Education.  He accepted a job at Shelton Jr. High School right out of college, teaching and coaching 8th and 9th grades basketball.  In 1969 after only 2 years at the junior high school Terry was offered the Head Varsity Basketball Coach position at Shelton High.  Under his leadership the basketball Team was League Champs 8 years, they won the State Basketball Championship in 1976 and took 2nd in state in 1977.  Terry was named Washington Basketball Coach of the Year for 1976.  He completed his Master Degree in School Administration through Pacific Lutheran University in 1980.  By 1985 his Washington Basketball Coaching game statistics were 277 wins; 140 losses.  In 1985 Terry accepted the Head Basketball Coach position at North Medford High in Medford, Oregon.  The North Medford Basketball team were the 3rd place State Champions 1988-1989 and Terry was named the Oregon State Basketball Coach of the Year.  While at North Medford High School he was promoted to the school’s Athletic Director, teacher and Head Basketball Coach.  When Terry retired in the year 2000 the game stats for his tenure at North Medford High School were as follows; wins 228 and losses 82.  Terry has been called a great coach, teacher and educator/mentor for all of his students over the years, he is continually all this.  Terry and his wife Dorthee have one son Bryan, who is a teacher and coach in Shelton, and one grandchild Addie.
