Pat was the oldest of three children born to Kevin and Peggy Connors, he attended Olympic Grade school and Monticello Jr. High before coming to R.A. Long High School.  Prior to high school Pat had been playing nearly every sport imaginable but once he got to R.A. Long his focus was primarily wrestling.  He was a varsity wrestler all four year of high school and he was also a State Champion every year.  In 1992 Pat was a National Champion and a World Team member who traveled to Turkey.  His high school record while at R.A. Long was 123 wins and 4 losses.  Upon graduation from high school Pat received a scholarship to wrestle for the University of Minnesota.  His four years of wrestling at U of M, in 1997 he was voted the Most Improved, made All American placing 3rd at the National Tournament at 125 lbs.  In 1998 and 1999 he placed 2nd at the National Tournament, he was also the Big Ten Champion in 1997.  Pat earned his Bachelors degree in Sports Management from the U of M, is employed as Captain for Cowlitz County Corrections .  After College he accepted an Assistant Wrestling Coach position at Kelso High School and currently still holds that position.  He has helped coach over 20 state champions and 100 plus state medal winners.  Has helped coach the State Academic Team Champions, with 5 state runner-up finishes as a team.  Pat has been involved in coaching Youth Baseball for the last 14 years, including 2 All Star Teams to 2nd place finishes at state.  Pat’s parents Kevin and Peggy still live in the local area.  Pat and his wife have been together since his senior year of high school.  They reside in Kelso and have four children, Tyson, Taya, Tally and Tegan.
