Jeff was one of the most successful swimmers to compete for R.A. Long.  A quote from his college coach, "He was so good he could have gotten a scholarship to any college or university he wanted."  While at R.A. Long he earned a varsity letter all three years.  He was named team MVP his junior year and was State Champion for the 100 freestyle with a time of 47.19 sec. and the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.44 sec.  Jeff’s senior year 1978 proved to be a record breaking year for him, he broke the state record for the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.97 sec. and of course was the State Champion.  That year he was also name a High School All American Swimmer.  Jeff went on to Central Washington University to compete as swimmer.  Earned the NAIA National Champion in the 50 yard freestyle two year 1980 and 1983 and was runner-up for the NAIA National Champion in the 100 yard freestyle in 1980.  Was named 6 times as an NAIA All American and was inducted into the Central Washington University Hall of Fame.  In 1997 he was inducted into the WISCA (Washington Interscholastic Swim Coach Association) Hall of Fame in 2006.  Jeff and his family currently reside in Carlsbad, California where he works as an outside salesman.
