Greg Price had an outstanding athletic career at R.A. Long, earning varsity letters all three years, in football, basketball and track. His accomplishments were many on the gridiron in the course of his three years. He was named to the All City team, he was the leading rusher and tied for the most interceptions, in 1973.  Besides the varsity letter he was Co-Captain, named MVP, and received the Johnny Hammer Award his senior year. He was also on the All Conference 1st team and given the league defensive All Star Award.  With football behind him Greg then focused on basketball and again proved to be an outstanding athlete on the court. He received the Most Improved award in 1973 and the team won the District Championship his senior year and Greg received Honorable Mention on the all-league team. This young man still had more to accomplish on the track besides receiving his varsity letters. Greg qualified for the District meet all three years competing in hurdles, the high jump and relay, he also received the Most Improved Trackman Award in 1973. Greg went on to attend Pacific Lutheran University playing football, basketball and track. In football he lettered all four years, received several "Game Ball" awards, was the leading scorer his senior year and made All Conference that year. Greg played JV basketball while at PLU. In track he was a three year letterman, and the co-champion in the high jump at the NW Conference Meet in 1977.  He is still in the top 18 high jumpers at PLU at 6 ft. 6 in. Greg received the Lower Columbia Sportsman of the Year Award in 1978. Greg received his Bachelor of Arts in Education from Pacific Lutheran University. He went on to work for Novartis Pharmaceutical Co. and received numerous awards for example: a Presidents Club winner 4 times, Area MVP award winner 5 times, and received a Cornerstone Award for Career achievement as a pharmaceutical consultant. Greg now works for Dendreon Pharmaceutical Co. and he was awarded the 2010 Region member of the year, the 2011 Leadership Award and serves as the Division Field Trainer of representatives for the company.
