Amy Norquist looked like a natural for basketball which proved to be correct.  Amy lettered all three years on the basketball team.  She was the starting point guard in her junior and senior years.  She was voted team MVP her senior year. She was a member of the 1981 winning State Championship Girls Basketball team, as the point guard.  Her height also worked in her favor for track, Amy, set the school record for the Long Jump in 1981 at 18’3/4”, which still stands today.  She also competed in the track State Championships in 1981.  After high school Amy attended Stanford University and was a member of the Varsity Track and Field team for 3 years.  She was a qualifier for the NCAA championships in 1982.  Amy graduated from Stanford earning a BA with Honors in History.  She spent 20 years working for non-profit environmental organizations before starting Greensulate, a start-up green roof/green wall company based in Manhattan, NY with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco.  She is  also a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 small businesses program for entrepreneurs.  Amy was named one of INC Magazines “entrepreneurs we love”, was named a “Top 10 Fierce woman entrepreneur” by New York Report magazine and received the Aspen Institute/Intel Computer Top Innovator award.   Amy currently resides in New York.
