Under the guidance of Coach Tiz Miller the swim team wound up their season with seven wins and two loses.  Consistent winners on the team were Norman Lamb, Ken Shaw Pat Briggs, George Goodner and Dick Clayton.  Their winning season sent them to the State Swimming championships in Seattle in March.  One point kept the Jacks from taking first place at the State championship on March 18th, .  Capturing 2nd place the R.A. Long boys excelled in the 150 yard medley relay composed of Gordon Walthers, Arlen Kavanaugh and Dick Mealy.   Of the three remaining members of the team two are able to attend this ceremony.
